hi, I'm anna.
I read labour market data the way other people read the news. (Genuinely.)
Career development is a craft.
And like any craft, it gets better when you know your tools of trade. I knew nothing about being a luthier (someone who makes and repairs stringed instruments) but I found out everything I needed to know in under an hour. Because I know my tools. That's how I help people.
I'm a career development specialist and L&D consultant. I work with STEM professionals, green economy career changers, and organisations navigating industry transition.
I’m in my 4th career and about to train for the 5th (looking at you, Pilates teacher training). I’m Science, Education, HR and Career Development qualified. I’ve worked with all ages and professions, and have spanned industries along the way- from big pharma to high schools, from insurance to energy.
I'm a member of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) and I’m Cappfinity Skills Discovery Accredited. I volunteered for the CDAA on the NSW committee and at Career Expos. I've worked with people from mining, engineering, energy, electrical and mechanical trades, IT and cybersecurity, hospitality, state and local government, education and school students.
I'm consistently, genuinely delighted by the range of ways people spend their working lives. From environmental scientists pivoting to consulting to early career IT graduates, to hospitality managers searching for their next role. Every single one of them deserves an opportunity to shine.
What I do
I use real data, not gut feel.
The Jobs and Skills Atlas. The Skills Priority List. LinkedIn's economic graph. I read this stuff the way other people read the news-which means the strategy we build is grounded in what the market is actually doing right now, not what someone wrote in a textbook in 2015.
I know the training landscape. Like, really know it..
If the qualification exists in Australia…accredited, credible, worth your time- I'll find it. If it doesn't exist yet, I'll tell you that too. Most career coaches can't do this. I can.
STEM and green economy is my niche.
Engineers pivoting to sustainability. Scientists moving into policy. Energy professionals navigating transition. If your career sits at the intersection of technical expertise and a rapidly changing industry — you're exactly who I work with.
“Careers work is social justice work. Every person who comes through the door just wants an opportunity to shine, be appropriately challenged, and feel valued. Every single one of you deserves that outcome.”
Career Tools & Job Search Resources
Three frameworks. Under $50. Instant download. Built for people who want to figure out what's broken before spending more time on the wrong fix. Freebie energy. (except you pay for these ones, because they're worth it.)
-

T-Shaped Professional Audit $27
You know you have more to offer than your job title suggests. You just can't quite say what it is.
That's the problem this fixes.
The T-Shaped Career Audit is a self-guided workbook that maps what you actually bring to work - your breadth, your depth, and the foundation underneath both. So the next time someone asks "tell me about yourself"... you've got a real answer.
Useful at any career stage. Essential if you're job searching, going for a promotion, or just tired of underselling yourself.
What you’ll get: An 8-page workbook. Guided prompts. A synthesis page that turns your audit into a statement you can actually use. Instant download.
$27. About a week’s worth of takeaway Matcha Lattes. Considerably more useful (IMHO)
Too cheap to be useful? It's priced low because career clarity should be accessible. Not because it's flimsy.
-

Relationship-First Networking Framework $37
Networking is like insurance. Kinda boring-but important until you desperately need it.
The best time to build your network is when you don’t need it. The second best time is now.
What you’ll get: Scripts and templates for reaching out without being weird about it. Cold outreach, warm reconnects, informational interviews, follow-ups that don't feel desperate. The don't-propose-on-the-first-date approach.
-

Job Search Reset $47
Looking for a new job is complicated no matter when, why, where or what you’re looking for.
If you’ve been searching for a while, the Job Search Reset Framework is for YOU.
Two things in one: diagnose what's broken in your search, then find where the market heat actually is. Australian data sources. Real tools. The kind of information most people don't know exists.
What you’ll get: Australian data sources. Real tools. The kind of information most people don't know exists.

LinkedIn Profile Audit - $197
Ready for honest eyes on it?
No scheduling gymnastics. No live session. Just specific, recorded feedback on the thing that's doing the most work before anyone meets you.
An honest, specific, recorded video review of your LinkedIn profile. What's working, what's costing you, exactly what to fix.
Delivered as a Loom video within 3 business days.
-

The Career Design Series 3 sessions - $1,200
The whole thing. With me.
Three sessions. One framework. You leave with a complete strategy and the confidence to act on it. We investigate what's actually happening in your corner of the labour market - with real data, not gut feel. We design your strategy. Then we experiment your way in.
You leave with: a labour market analysis, skills audit, networking plan, value proposition, outreach scripts, interview prep, and a 90-day action plan. Plus tailored support between sessions.
Particularly useful for STEM professionals, green economy career changers, and anyone who's been applying for three months and getting nowhere.
Career Development Workshops & L&D Consulting for Australian Organisations
Good people leave when nobody's talking to them about their career. Workshops, L&D consulting, and career conversation tools for organisations navigating energy transition, restructure, and workforce change.
Most managers know they should be having career conversations. Most don't know how. So they don't. And eventually, good people leave for somewhere that does.
The fix? A 10-minute career conversation kit, licensed for your team, so you don't need me in the room every time.
The NOW · NEXT · HOW Career Conversations Kit
Three questions. One small action. Backed by career development theory and design thinking. Your P&C or L&D team runs it.
Works across every career stage - early career, mid career, later career, and pre-retirement.
Need something more bespoke? I also work with organisations on career development program design, L&D consulting, and green economy and STEM career literacy for HR and talent teams. Let’s talk or send me an email.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Direct, practical, and data-driven. I'm not going to ask you how that makes you feel.
I ask a lot of questions. I'll challenge your assumptions if they're getting in the way. I use real labour market data - not gut feel or generic advice and I'll tell you honestly if your plan needs rethinking.
People usually describe sessions as 'a lot to take in but really useful.' Which is exactly what I'm going for.
-
Nope. About 90% of my clients are employed - they just know they're not in the right place, or they can see the industry shifting and want to get ahead of it rather than react to it.
If you're happily settled and going nowhere, you probably don't need me. But if there's a persistent background hum of 'I should be doing something different' — that's worth paying attention to.
-
Great question. AI can help you write. It can't tell you where the market is actually heading, which employers are genuinely growing in your sector, which qualifications are credible and which are a waste of $3,000, or how your specific background positions you in your specific niche.
I use AI too - as a tool. The difference is I know what questions to ask it, and I know when its answer is wrong.
-
Absolutely not. In fact, some of the best sessions start with 'I have no idea.' That's a legitimate place to be, and it's more common than anyone admits.
What I do need: you to show up and be honest about where you're at. The clarity comes from the work, not before it.
-
I won't pretend I know your specific technical work in detail. I am STEM trained (Medical Scientist with a Biology/Psych Major) so I LOVE talking science.
What I do know, in genuine depth, is the labour market for STEM and green economy professionals in Australia. Where demand is growing, which skills are transferable and how to frame them, which employers are growing their teams, and which qualifications actually matter to those employers.
I've worked with engineers, scientists, energy professionals, and technically-trained people navigating the transition to sustainability roles. It's the work I'm most energised by.
And yes - I will understand your LinkedIn profile.
-
Ha. Fair scepticism.
It's priced low because I want it to be genuinely accessible, not because it's flimsy.
The goal is simple: Get to know your own skills so you can articulate them confidently. If you’re new to work, or been working for 30+ years, knowing your value is fundamental to your career. And if you need more support, there is a next step for that too.
-
Yes — this is almost exactly who it's for.
Three months of silence usually means one of three things: a positioning problem (you're not communicating your value clearly), a targeting problem (you're applying to the wrong roles or organisations), or an approach problem (you're relying only on advertised jobs, which is roughly 30% of the market).
We'll figure out which one it is in Session 1. Then we fix it.
-
I get it. The Career Design Series is three sessions because that's genuinely what it takes to build a complete strategy, but if you're further along and just need a sharp set of eyes on your approach, a one-off session can work.
Book a discovery call and tell me where you're at. We'll figure out the right fit from there.
-
Honestly…this is the most common thing I hear. And it's a real constraint, not an excuse.
The 10-minute career conversation kit is built around that reality. We're not adding a new thing to already-full plates. We're building the skill and the language to have shorter, better conversations more often - not long, formal development sessions once a year.
A good 10-minute career conversation, done regularly, is worth more than an annual review that everyone dreads.
-
Ahh Ha. You ask the magical question. I love writing and running workshops and facilitating. Connecting in a group is a mild superpower of mine. Yes, I can. I can also write them for you and train the trainer. I also really enjoy group coaching (different again) Let’s chat!
